Coors Beer

This beer has a name that has been around for a long time, though I have never tried it due to it being a lager and an American brand.

Details

From the website:

A clean and refreshing 3.4% lager that’s as crisp as the mountain air.

That's it - the rest of the website is about how the image on the can goes blue when it is cold. I can confirm that the mountain goes blue after the can has been in the fridge for a while.

Expectations

I expect lager, though not anything special. This is probably somewhat bland, but I just want something refreshing to drink right now.

Experience

It's another very pale beer, a straw yellow colour. There's plenty of bubbles and a foamy head that subsides slowly.

It smells mildly yeasty, which is promising. The last beer I sniffed didn't really smell of anything, so this is already an improvement.

The taste is surprising, but not in a good way. It's not a very strong taste, but I would say it sits somewhere between vinegar and mouthwash.

This could be the worst beer I have ever tasted. I really wanted to pour it away, but I did manage to drink the whole thing.

Verdict

1/5 : I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting better than this.
